The focus of the course will be on the quantitative approaches for studying and using natural enemies that include theoretical concepts, models and other analytical approaches. Participants will be shown a number of analytical tools and new filters to study natural enemies to increase their appreciation of natural enemy biology & their impact on prey/pests. The objectives of this conference are to demonstrate the effectiveness of biological control through examples; to document the importance of biological control in developing IPM programs and sustainable land use; and to identify major problems in implementing biological control.
