Robin Mittenthal
I have degrees in Biology and Chinese (B.A., Carleton College), nutrition/agroecology (M.S., Tufts University), and library and information science (M.S., University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign), as well as K-12 certification as a school librarian and 9-12 certification as a biology and chemistry teacher. I worked for a number of years as an intern and manager on organic farms across the country and for several years as a librarian and high school teacher. I am likely to become an educator again in some capacity after finishing my PhD, perhaps either training future farmers or teaching high school science. My dream job (I think) would involve teaching high school students applied agroecology, business skills, and the simple joy of helping living things grow, all in the guise of managing a student-run farm.
